I am looking at a 8200 3pt drill coming up for auction its 27ft wide I was wondering what it would weigh. how much seed it will hold and if you guys think my 3388 IH will pick it up would be using it mostly for planting triticale on furrowed ground to be flood irrigated I wish it was a 20 foot machine I know that would fit my tractor better thank you guys

If it's 27 feet it's probly a 2 section front fold drill ? With a 2 point semi mount hitch I'm guessing so you won't be lifting the entire weight of the drill . I'm not sure what they hold probly 3 bushel a foot? Maybe I'm all wrong but that's my guess

I'm not familiar with that particular Deere model (I thought all 8200's were end-wheel box drills) but just for reference a Great Plains 27-ft 3-point drill weighs about 5300 lbs according to their literature. With the seed capacity of 54 bushels the loaded weight would be over 8400 lbs.

I was a little confused when I first saw it. but it is apparently 2 8200 end wheel drills stuck together in the middle

I agree as I've never seen a set up similar to the one in photo. Does hitch have any ID numbers?

there are two drill serial number plates on the machine its an online auction and I haven't been to look at the drill yet but I think his tractor was a 4430 which should be about the same sized tractor as what I have.
