Here's one for the books guys as I watched a JD 52 2x12" plow sell in average condition yesterday for $1600 and then got to the JD #51 with a good clean scoured bottom sell for just under $400 doesn't make sense to me but I was not looking to buy.

yes that is a getting a little carried away on the price but all it takes is two people who think they need it.
Im guessing that maybe a couple family members wanted it back because it was grandpas plow to match the tractor that they got from him before he passed and the neighbour who ran all international knew how well it plowed and he thought he should buy it and finally convert to green... or something like that.

Did the plough look like this one......PIC taken from Internet:

No the plow was on full steel and no family members were involved. Also sold a $5,000 JD 70 gas restored 30 years ago and a JD 60 AF for under $3,000 restored about same time and a 1939 JD H with original 6.50x32 tires and repainted 30 years ago ended about $2900
