730 POWER STEERING LEAK

Just noticed oil running down frt wheel,seems only when tractor is shut off. Took nose grill off and it is coming out steering shaft. Could it just be oil seal#45? If so looks like easiest to pull steering valve, and steering worm housing, or take hood off take shaft apart and then seal housing off? Hate break all that paint but what ever it takes . Thanks for any help. Doug

Honestly, you would do well to obtain the factory manual on replacing the O ring on the steering shaft. It probably is the problem but I wouldn't go into it without the manual. My email is open, I don't mind sending you the relevant pages, let me know. Hugh

GO all the way down to the last seal replace all seal, pull the pump and work it over also. When pulling the steering housing shaft off mark it with a chisel mark on the housing so that it will match up when you go back together. Not that bad of a job just time consuming.
