G oil in water

Bought a nice 49 G from man that owned it for 55 years. He stated that there was no antifreeze in it and he hoped the head gasket was OK as it sat for some time without water / antifreeze. I drained the water and, although it looked like more, maybe a less than an eighth pint of oil drained out last. Haven't dropped the oil yet. He said the oil had been in the tractor a long time, but not many hours. So more than likely it will have condensation which would be hard to tell from coolant water. Manual says 12 7/8 gallon cooling capacity and that's about what came out of it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Crack open your tranny and rear end plugs. I got about a gallon of water out of mine. It sat out for no telling years outside in the rain and condensation adds up over time. if yours have been sitting still for a long time the water will settle at the bottom and you can open the plugs but not take all the way out and if its got water in it you can let it out that way.

If here is no sign of water in the engine oil, I think I would fill the crankcase w/new oil, change the filter
, service the transmission, and then run it. And of course, observe carefully.
