John Deere 70 tractor

does anyone now if 70 standard fenders work on a 70 row crop tractor? the tractor has 15.5x38 tires are they to tall for the fenders? thanks Howard

I am not an athority on tires or 70s but I replaced the 14.9s on my 70 with 15.5 and the only difference I found was in the price. If I may inquire, why do you want wheatland fenders on a row crop tractor? I'm not judging your decision, just curious is all.

The standard tread tractor's rear axle housings were casted differently than their rowcrop equals. The standard tread machines had large raised bosses for the fenders to mount onto. The standard fenders might bolt onto the RC axle housing but there will need to be some custom made shims involved to be able to get them leveled up and out of the tire.

Howard,

If you want a better look IMO use the flat top fenders like the 30 series have on them and sell the 70 std fenders as they are hard to find in good original condition.

thanks everyone I just like the look of the standard fenders I was going to go with a wide front axle still might do that but I have got to rethink the fenders thanks Howard
