I think that is a KBL.

Looks like my KBY. The only thing I don't see is a lever mounted just behind and on the right side of the 3 point that changes the angle of the gangs. Mark

I vote KBL.

KBY had a 3 pt hitch bar(parts key 1) similar to photo below.

But isn't the KBY a "flex gang" mount like the picture and the KBL a rigid mount.

After researching parts catalog some more I think you're correct.

Ayup, definitely a KBY. Only thing that I questioned was the rear gang lift pipe. Mine doesn't have that (narrower disc!)

Also, the KBL has an entirely different main frame!

No, not rare! Value probably dependent on condition! Probably as good or better than light duty short line 3 point discs available new!
It is a 3 point hitch version of the well known JD KBA wheeled disc.

It might be considered more desirable than the short line discs, as it has some built in flexibility. That being desirable on uneven ground.

I like mine. IIRC according to the manual, weighs just over 800#s. It's pretty flexible and does a good job. A good match for my 1020. Mark

KBY is right on , looks to be an 8ft.; 3pt.hitch looks to be redone to cat.I from cat.II hitch bar style as in Jim's first PC. print.. [as 8ft. only came with hitch bar] ; cat.I hitch in ( Jim's second print) only made for 6ft. disk.. Doug: your hitch looks to be remodel to cat. I similar to PC. print of 6ft. disk... We use a [rigid] 6 ft. KBL; also have a 9ft. KBY; & a 14FT. KBA.. they'll each do dif. work in same field cond. // Your's looks to be in very good cond. ...
