Manure Spreader Value?

I found a JD Spreader out in the woods (and yes, I mean in the woods...). The guy is in really bad health, but doesn't want to sell anything for less than about $1200 a piece!!! His wife met me outside when I was leaving though, and told me, if I wanted something, just "make a deal" with him, and then discuss the price with her. Well, that went from $1200 with him, to $150 from her!

She said "they" don't care about the money, just want to be fair. He has a LOT of other stuff I might try to get, but I would really like this spreader, and want to know what fair value would be, so I can treat her right.

Here is what I know:

It says MODEL H Stamped in the front of the hopper. Tires are 8.25 x 20 Truck. Round spoke wheels. Metal bed??? Isn't a LICK of rust anywhere. Bed is amazingly straight, few little dents here and there, but nothing like I usually see. The only "rough" looking spot it the right side beater chain cover. Looks like the broke it off, or beat it up or something, and they welded a patch on it, and then straightened it as best as they could, and then stuck it back on the box. Not horrible, but not pretty. Still has a hand crank jack up front. Just really cool!! Really complete / good shape!

Any ideas of value?

Thanks!

Saw one sell in mid-Ohio last summer for $1500 that was sever.y weathered but operable.

Guy beside me said that everybody with a horse think they need a manure spreader.
