Thermostat on 5403

I posted a few days ago about our 5403 and not being able to get water to circulate I tried loosening the temp sensor to get any air out and ran it til it was hot with the cap off to see if I could burp the air out, but no luck the upper hose was hot and lower one ice cold. So I pulled the thermostat brought it in heated water in a pot up to 180 and the thermostat never opened, but it did open once it got to 200, is that my issue? Or could it be the pump is having issues?

I thougot some tractors had small bypass openings to let small flow to circulate, to warm things up and warm thermostats up. Do you have a small bypass?
Maybe I'm thinking backwards on this....

The thermostat I have does have that little jingle pin I think that's what they call it
