I have a 1950 JDA that runs for a period (sometimes 1 min, sometimes 10 min, sometimes an hour)then just dies. It will start right back up and run again. It doesn't sputter or cut out before it stops, it just stops. I have changed the points, condenser, coil, and ignition switch. The carburetor has been overhauled. Does anyone have any suggestions/advice? Thanks in advance!!

Something inside gas tank stopping fuel flow or Gas cap maybe.....

Only Other thing I can thing of is try another new condenser..

Take a look at the photo below.

Had the same problem with <a href="https://youtu.be/cUTWTlYd78w">"Mac"</a> one of our 51MTs one day while raking hay.

Replaced the distributor cap and rotor to solve the problem.

Hope this helps.

Assuming it has a distributer as apposed to magneto. See that little carbon center pole in the cap pictured below? Those fracture inside and intermittently will not conduct electricity. especially in chine made ones. Pushing the coil wire in and out doesn't help and may even make it worse. I agree with his post, change cap.

Check for something rolling around the bottom of the gas tank. Had that on a Ford 2000 that I couldn't find till I took the sediment bowl out. Small piece of a leaf was stuck in the inlet.

You have an ignition problem. Fuel starvation from the tank will make it sputter and falter first. Like what was suggested try another condenser first.

Loose wire in the primary circuit. Did you get the new condenser tested? Hook up a timing light & watch it when it dies. If it keeps flashing it is a fuel problem.
