I am looking for a good early John Deere 60 crankshaft.

If you get the green magazine look up darwin gingerich. He always has an ad in the and has lots of parts tractors. He can probably help you out. Depends on where your located, he is in mound ridge kansas.

I bought a 60 crank last summer from Tom Ziegler, about 40 miles south of St Louis. Priced fair, good guy to deal with. I know he will ship smaller parts, don't know about a crankshaft though. His number is 573-535-8952

What happened to the original crank ? If the flywheel is loose on the splines. A "new" crank and the old flywheel will be loose within minutes to hours at most.
Puller shops can weld up damaged journals . Probably add some stroke too for about the same price .
