3130 JD starting

Does a 3130 John Deere have a thermostart system to help start when cold? If so how do I use it? There is a button on the dash. I see a small
line that goes into the manifold.

There are two options; one is the thermostart (manifold heater) that is a small burner in the manifold, the other is an ether nozzle also mounted in the manifold. I am not sure what button you are referring to as the manifold heater is operated by the key switch (push in to activate I believe). The ether injection is accomplished by removing a fitting on the dash mounted receptacle and insterting an ether can.
In any event you still cannot beat a good block heater as the most reliable cold start assist.Couple that with a hydraulic pump destroking screw, good batteries and cables and she should light up like its July.

I wonder if Mtractor 3130 has the later type electric controlled either kit installed? My 4255 has this type ether kit controlled by a push button on dash although I've never needed to use it. This kit is shown in PC for 3155
