cleanup for painting/JD60

I've removed, blasted, primed & repainted my 3-point parts. What I'd like to do before remounting is to clean up the greasy, oily area from one rearside of the axle, around the back where years of hydraulic drips from hoses has accumulated, and over to the other axle side. What is the best but safe way to clean all of this up? I have a power washer but afraid it might damage something. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Arnie

I'm only 2 miles to town, so in the fall I drive in, fuel full, have oil and filter changed at quicky-lube, [ have got filters from O'Reillys first ] cruise thru car wash and pressure hot wash everything as the tractor is running, and drive her home. If you're only a few miles to town, might think of it.

Purple power then pressure wash works good. Hot water pressure washer works as good if not better. Be prepaired to repaint the area that you clean

If you can attach a wire wheel to a drill, prep the oil soaked area with that after cleaning, so the new paint will adhere better.

WOW, lots of good suggestions here. Apparently I would be ok to run the powerwasher. Where do I get the purple stuff?
Thanks,
Arnie
PS- If I did it right here is a pic of my 3-point parts painted up.
