It's Alive!!

It does sound good. Not sure how much hp it has but it drives nice. Doesn't puke when you shift like before. I'll take a video driving it whenever I get some help. Put the front end back on by myself. That wasn't so easy. They hyd. pump seems to be working well. No leaks and the steering is good. The 3pt raises smooth. I had to make a custom fitting by welding two fittings together, but other than that it was a direct bolt-in.

Here is a close-up of how the framerails were machined. That was really the main modification needed. I did have to notch the alternator bracket and modify the steering lines a bit as well.

forgot the pic. not sure why editing is not available anymore

A few years ago we rebuilt the injection pump and injecters on our 4520(has 4620 engine). It still has some blowby and the head gasket seeps a little as well. If I could do it over again I would have done what you are doing and put a 466 out of a combine in it. I have a friend who had several combine engines and I could have bought one for about what I spent on the pump and injecters. We only put about 150 hours a year on it,mainly running a forage harvester. You are going to have a neat tractor when finished. Tom
