4020 seats

Who makes a good quality 1970 4020 seat that looks good in appearance and is rite for that year tractor? The one I have is hard as a rock and not very thick.

If you don't require an original seat, both Deere and aftermarket offer a little different style seat I find much more comfortable. It's got a higher back, and a longer, flatter bottom. I have put them on both of my tractors. I can probably find a number if you want.

I like This seat real well. I bought it from Deere but I don't have the part number. I wonder if it maybe didn't come off of one of the newer series or possibly a combine. It bolts right on and it's real comfortable.

I have one just like ferd and I like it. I think K&M sells them.

Steiner,K&M,A&I and JD stores all have them.There is an economy yellow leatherette seat foreign made and USA vinyl about $125 difference.I have gotten them from JD at times cheaper than the distributers.They last a lot longer inside.The high back K&M seat doesn't show up in their new catalog.I have seen many different combinations on 4020JD but the original seat is the only one collectors approve of.If it is for using whatever suits you.I have seen semi seats on some and what looks like a seat from a lawn chair on others.
