70 stuck clutch questions

I dug into my clutch that is stuck engaged a little bit before dark tonight, I got everything off back to the fixed clutch drive disk before it got too dark to see.i know there is a clutch facing behind the fixed drive disk but havnt made it that far. After I remove these two things will I be able to access the bearings to repack or replace or will I have to pull the pulley off to access the pulley bearing. I have a service manual but may be overlooking the answer. That and curious how much further I will have to tear it apart.

The outer facing and facing disks had a little glazing but it didn't seem too bad, the facing disks kept wanting to bind on those dowels as I was trying to slide them out. Nothing cracked or broken. The ends of the operating bolts are kinda rounded so I probably should replace those along with the castle nuts for sure.

Not without turning the engine over with it, it's still froze. I hope to get the rest tore apart tonight. Hopefully I can get someone to help me get it pushed into my shop so I can light I fire and have lights!

well if I gotta slide the wheel out and pull the pulley off I gotta get it in the shop for sure. I was pricing new clutch parts last night online, they are pretty proud of em! I hate to have to stick the money in it right before Christmas but I got the abg90 snow plow on it so I'll be needing it

70 gas or diesel ? But IIRC it doesn't matter as they both require the same treatment. Bad news is that on the model 70's you have to remove the big casting I think book calls it an oil seal ? right behind the pulley along with the pulley. Should be a circle of bolts a few inches out from the pulley back edge. The pulley gear is too large around to come thru the opening. Also you have to pull that gear off to get at the dogs and toggles and get the T bolts out. I have a very large 3 jaw hyd. operated gear puller that makes short work of removing that gear.
Too bad it is a 70 for your first one as they are the hardest !

Power has been out all night, no lights or heat in the house or shop, no progress at all on the 70

It's a gas, I got a service manual, watched the you tube video of a 720 clutch rebuild so I'm ready to dig in. The power came back on about 9:00 last night, hopefully I can get it torn off tonite
