Is this a 810 plow? It's 3x16. I picked it up at an auction yesterday.

I have a plow just like yours only it is a 4/14's-3/14's. dad bought it new in 1960. Went out to look at it to get a model # and I couldn't find one Paint is pretty good too. Looked in three places for owner's manuals and found every manual dad ever had except for the manual for this plow. So now I'm curious too.

Looks like a John Deere F125 to me. I picked ou one like it last year. Yours has spring safety trips from what I can see in the photos. Tx Jim may be able to give you a better idea about age. He helped me. Mine is disassembled and out to be media blasted currently. Should be back home before thanksgiving.

It's not a F125, they have a beam down the top. I think It is either a 810 or 813. The 810A and F45 had an A frame top link mast.

John, As someone said, you either have an 810 or 813 plow. The major difference between the 810 and 813 is that on the 813, the 1st bar holding the front coulter has 4 holes. The bar on the 810 has only 2 holes. But the parts book also states that to use an 813 plow on a 520, 620, or 720 tractor, the 1st two holes on the coulter bar can be cut off. Apparently the longer bar interfered with the "20" series 3pt hitch arms. So if your plow has 4 holes or was cut off, it is an 813. If just two holes, then an 810. All this information is in the JD PC-390 parts catalog. I have an 814 plow that I converted to an 813 by taking the 4th bottom off. Hope this helps. Al

I believe it is an 810 series plow and I also think it started life as a four bottom because of the left side brace rod. the three bottom was reducible to a two bottom, so the brace rods were the same length. the four bottom was reducible to three. so the brace rod didn't have to be removed to make it a three bottom. I still have an 810 four bottom and that is the way it is set up. John

The longer bar hit the remote cylinder valve box. The long offset on the front coulter shank made up for moving the clamp back.

The long brace was stronger the the short brace, after bending the top link irons a few times a farmer could be convinced to buy that long brace. Regular 810 plows had a problem with the top link mast being forced back and twisted to one side when the plow hit an obstruction. The 810A plows used an A frame top link mast and was much stronger.

Thanks everyone for the replies and interesting information. I don't know that much about plows, but these looked decent and the bid was lower than I expected, so I started bidding on them. The aren't in bad shape, the second bottom share is worn quite a bit more than the other two and the shin is rusted out. I think mrb tractor has these parts though. My brother in law bought a set of 3 shares at the same auction, but I think they fit the 5 bottom plows that sold there as well. They are physically longer than the shares on this plow. I just want to use them behind my JD A at our antique club plow day. They have to be easier to haul than my steel-wheel rope trip John Deere 2 bottoms.

Looks like or similar to a 415. There are some casting numbers , mast heights, three point hitch cat I or cat II and hillside adjustment .
