Model HC 90 stationary engine

Friend is looking for info on a model HC engine say it was in 2004 two cylinder magazine. I can't find any info to help him, it is a 4 cylinder engine.

Are you sure it wasn't a 92 engine of some kind? There were variations of these depending on which factory used them. Mike

I wonder if he is looking for the 4 cyl. engine off a # 25 pull type combine ?
These are a 4 cyl. that sure look a lot like the 2 cyl. in a model M or MT tractor. I always wondered if you could swap the 2 out and put the 4 in there if you could gain anything ?

That is probably an HA-92 (not sure about the prefix). I have an operator's manual for an EA-92 engine. The "E" designates Ottumwa. I have yet to find out what that engine would have been used on. Retirees at Ottumwa that I've talked to don't even know. I figured it would be a baler or forage harvester but none of them know for sure. Mike

Green Magazine had an article on these engine way back last millennium. The HA-92 is for combines and the EA-92 is for balers and other forage equipment.
