2355 PTO runs all the time

I've got a 2355 with cab that the PTO runs all the time and won't turn off. I've had some in the past that would turn but you could sit your foot
against it and it would stop. This one won't stop and is the same as if you had it ingaged all the time. Has anyone had this problem before that
could maybe tell me where to check first? Would it be something in the valve on top of the transmission not cutting it off or is it something
deeper? Any ideas? Thanks for any help!!!

Strong chance that the PTO clutch is gualded, and not releasing when disengaged, not an easy task to deal with when you have a cab...

Yes you will need to split it behind the clutch housing, and the cab will need to come off to make that happen...it may be possible to prop the cab and work it out under,,but I haven't ever tryed that,,I have one split here now with out a cab,,about to bump it back together now...I will snap a few pictures in a bit...

Here are some pictures of where your 2355 will split, this is a 2030 but near the same.

It would be nice to say that checking the PTO brake and clutch pressures would help you but like Tim says the clutch is possibly piled up on itself and the pressures would "lie" to you.
I leave the cab hooked to the front end and bring the back out from underneath. Pretty straight forward after that.

I always forget about the hidden bolts under the shifter cover. Of course on those tractors there are hidden bolts the get the axle housing off too. I agree with TimS opinion on these tractors , I'm not a fan.

And one bolt behind the transmission filter...and no I don't like them at all and I try hard not to be so outspoken about them,,but 40 years of dealing with them has left me with a strong dislike for them...
