kba disk size

i have a 5' KBA drag disk that needs a lot of tlc starting with the blades. some are busted in half, split, or spinning on the axel. my question is what size blades and what pitch does this disk take. whats left of the blades is between 16.75 to 17" . second, what shape is the hole in the center of the blade? round, square, star or what?

any info on this disk is much needed

Disk shaft is square 1'' if built before 1957,1-1/8'' if built after 1957. 18'' & 20'' disk were listed in KBA parts catalog

thanks for the reply, is there any way i can tell about what year it was built? i really like this disk, it leaves a really fine finish to a seed bed and i dont want to scrap it. My Super C doent even know its back there; only wish it was a 6'er.

its gonna be real hard trying to break it down for repairs. gonna do one gang at a time.

does JD still carry the parts?

I've got 3 original op. manuals for that disc. Includes all parts pics and part numbers , set-up , operation , adjustments etc. One is printed in '48 , one in '49 and one in '51. All in excellent shape. To your door for $17.00 ea. My e-mail is open.
