What do you guys think this ole girl is worth? I am looking into selling / trading it, or maybe even giving it away to a friend... Runs and drives good, needs a few things;

Points / Condensor (to finish the tune up)
Oil change / filter
Antifreeze change I am sure
New front tires and wheels
Steering is messed up
Clutch linkage is rusty and stiff, and is interfering with brakes
Sheetmetal is not the greatest
Needs most of the seat

Here is a picture of it, Loader goes with it, but is not currently on it. GREAT rear tires, but they are not matched. Engine charges, everything works, hydraulics, pto, belt pulley, etc. All good...

I would think if it runs and drives around where I am in New England you could get $1,000 without too much time spent waiting for someone to come along. That loader looks to be in good shape and to someone who knows how hard it is to find that loader it may be worth more to them than the tractor. What part of the country are you located in?

After reading your topic in tractor talk & getting a little understanding behind this deal.
I think the tractor was given to you Or it was really cheap? I remember seeing it in the 1st
article posted. It has been cobbled or farmerized to say the least. But it does run, Here in
Pa. that outfit would bring 1000.00 or more if it moves under it's own power with the loader
maybe more.. I know the steering is LOOSE, most M's of this age are loose & with a loader no
doudt looser. Yes it needs a lot to make it right but over time it could be right. Would I pay
that much for it. NO. Not in a million years, I own one I love it & some day I will get it
finished when some of my many other work in progress gets caught up. Not being a Red tractor
lover but enjoy seeing one restored correctly. What I say if your friend is truly interested in
a starter tractor, one that He, You & I know needs a lot of work you should horse trade or make
it really cheap for him to own it. If green isn't your color I won't hold it against you! LOL
But if it inspires another young man to get involved in saving some history the reward is some-
where down the road. You have been blessed by others, + your hard work has paid off, I think you
might get really blessed by helping another out & you won't be loosing much. BTW if you think a
M is hard to get on & Off a MT is Worse, add 50 years to your age, it doesn't get easier....

I just turned 33 and I hate getting on and off my MT espeically now that we own a 1020. I hate to send the MT down the road but the time is coming shortly!
