John Deere 2010 Industrial

Been "circling" around this John Deere 2010 Industrial with a loader that is for sale near me. Its been parked for 5 years or so and needs love. All I read about the 2010 model tractors is to run away but I seem to be a sucker for a fix and save tractor. But, I was considering this a "offer scrap price" for it and see what kind of mess we have?

I saw in a previous post that there are options for a 45 combine motor and other options for a re-power. Not a whole lot on the industrial version on the internet so anyone have experience with these?

It never ceases to amaze me about the number of threads I see on tractor forums about JD 2010's. Because the engine has a unique design and were only built a short period of time(5 yrs) there's not a lot of new repair parts available compared to the later JD utility tractors. As you've probably read 2010 diesel engines were more prone to problems than the gasoline models. Buying a broken piece of equipment is taking a big chance.

It's your $$$$$$$ but if it were my $$$$$ I'd PASS ON IT.
Good luck with your decision,Jim

Appreciate the reply Jim. Your response pretty much explains what I have been seeing then. I've told myself, nah, its not worth the headache and hassle of trying to move a few time but then for the price I gave it a second thought. I don't mind a project but I also try to tread carefully when it comes to a super-money pit instead of the run of the mill money pit. I see a lot on the 301 Industrial tractors and 2010 in general but not a lot on this specific model. Thanks.

I may have found something out. I had been looking for John Deere 2010 Industrial. Turns out they called it "John Deere 2010 WHEEL" for some reason.
