2120 Injector

One of my injectors on my JD 2120 tractor went bad so I had some old ones that came out of it years ago so I planned on putting one back in for now. Problem is it will go in about 2/3 (about 1" from seating) and then you can't push it anymore, I didn't want to tap it with a hammer or anything in case I couldn't get it back out. I tried two other injectors and they did the same thing, I put anti seeze on them. Anyone know why they are doing this and what to do?

I have not, I took one out and tried to put the other one in, how is the best way to clean everything?

The make specific sized brass brushes, and perhaps fitted scrapers for each type of injector. A diesel shop MAY be able to help you with that, otherwise you are going to have to improvise, being careful to keep as much debris as possible out of the cylinder.

Thanks Bob, before I saw your message I put a small stick down in the hole and whatever was blocking it most have fallen down cause the stick went in good and now the injector will seat, if stuff fell in the engine and ruins it the motor needs a rebuild anyway i'll try it and see how she does.
