So have since found out it is a 2755. So as asked are those cylinders rebuild-able or do they have to be replaced. So far i do not have much to go by other then the cylinder has a leak. Also around how many HP is this tractor? I was asked if using a 15 foot bat wing brush hog could have cause this steering cylinder problem and is that brush hog to big for this tractor.
THANKS

Old I think you should try to contact JD Sellers he seems to be very knowledgeable on John Deere tractors.

As someone else asked you, you need to tell us if it has MFD, or not because the steering is entirely different.

For HP, go to tractordata.ocm. (88 engine HP)

"is that brush hog to big for this tractor."

Depends on what you are trying to cut and how fast!

As I previously stated you need to determine if 2755 is 2WD or MFWD to correctly given steering cylinder rebuild information. 2755 has 75 pto HP which should handle a 15 ft batwing in most cutting conditions and have no bearing on steering cylinder requiring repair. Since tractor was built from '87-'92 age of cylinder seals is probably the cause of the cyl. leaking not towing batwing
