1939 JD B

Found a 1939 JD b that appears to be drug out of a barn recently. Appears to be original paint. Missing a few small parts like air cleaner to carb pipe. Right rear rim is rusted way beyond repair. Left rear is a fairly new 11.2 38 Armstrong but has some cracking. Both fronts also need replaced. Unsure of condition of engine. Guy wants 1000 or best offer. Thinking about offering 500. What does everyone think ?

Can't speak for everyone, but based on the tractor described above your $500 offer seems reasonable to me.

Several years ago we bought "Lazarus" a 40B for $600.

We bought "Lazarus" only for the rear spoke wheels.

A few years later we bought "Uncle Earl" a 39B for $700.

"Uncle Earl" did not have tires or wheels.

After several years, finally got "<a href="https://youtu.be/FmjcFxJeVBI">Uncle Earl</a>" back in service.

Not an expert , but 39 and 40 models are there own and I think there value runs a little higher than latter models.
