Could anyone tell me what makes the injector pump build pressure. I have fuel the electric pump is pumping good, I have fuel everwhere I should. but when I crack the injector line there is not much pressure there at all. I have two electric connections that go to the injector pump I have power on the out side one but not on the inside one. I think the inside one is a sensor, when I unhook it I can hear the alarm go off in cab. Any help please Thanks

DO NOT crack the lines on a common rail engine, they carry between 25000 to 30000 lbs pressure. They will inject fuel into your skin. 9 time out of 10 they do not reseal once loosened, and require replacement. If the transfer pump is running, and you have fuel to the high pressure pump, the fuel filter is clean and it won't start you are going to have to grin and bear it and have a tech plug the computer into it to find the problem. Could be a bad ground,a broken wire in the harness, a bad sensor, a bad ECM or..... Poking wires with a test light, disconnecting or bypassing sensors, will only make the initial problem more expensive to repair. You can very easily fry an ECU or harness.

It was a sensor, cost me $1200 for it to be fixed! Pretty sad you work your but off to buy a (reliable) tractor and this is not the first time it has been worked on! I bought it new and right away had issues now it has 1500 hours and still problems, the quality has gone down, way down!
