I put electronic ignition on my 2510. when I did it I had no timing light so just timed by ear. seemed good but wanted to run on a bit when shutting off. so last weekend in a lull while haying I timed it. was off a bit. timed it according to the book but now I have a sputter at lower idle. 1500 rpm or higher seems to run good under that, when taking off it will sputter a bit.
tried adjusting carb every which way from sunday. tweeked timing forward a bit and that helped some.
question is, does the electronic ignition need to be timed differently? I don't see why, and maybe have carb issue. plugs and wires and cap all new this past spring. with timing advanced about 10 degrees seems to run great just don't like to shut off.
