Reselling the steering valve on the 2510

Cleaned and resealed the steering valve! Found metal bits in the steering check valves and a o-ring and back up ring blown out! The metal bits are a bit worrying! Will drop the trans oils, filter and screen to see what's going on there! Those adjustments are quite the task! To get a one thousandth adjustment on something with set screws is almost impossible! The screw difference in head construction makes the indicator jump thousands at a time! Well I'll let you know how good i did come Saturday!

ooh yes they can be tricky,, I hope it works well for you..it will bleed out with out opening the bleeder screw,, they just make a mess...

I have taken those valves apart to clean and reseal a leaker without ever messing with the valve adjustment. This was on a valve that worked good but leaked.

Yup...
A little patenice goes along way. Its a little bit tricky to get them set, then you tighten the lock nut down and your a couple thousands out!
Do it a couple of times and you will get it set corrctly!
