Quad Range- no park gear

Looking at a nice-looking and running 4430. Quad Range transmission won't go in to park. When in park, I believe it's going in to a range. Is this an adjustment issue? Or something more serious?

Thanks,
John

I believe so. Just looks like it is in park when it does. I don't know if when it's in A range on the shifter, the trans is in B of not though. Auction time tractor.

Some times A gear shears at the coupler and that is part of park, it will also not move in "A" range.. the shift will go as normal..

The A range gear and what ever you do to "freshen up" the rest,, but the ring and pinion need to come out,,it's on the bottom shaft. The gear shears right where the size goes from the shift collar area up to the main part of the gear,, it looks like Deere should have bevel shaped it a bit to give more strength there,,but I have only seen about 6-8 of them shear around here over the years,,where they break is really hard to see even when you take it out because it has a bushing going through there..it will be a hair line crack..right in the corner..
