Here are some pics of the way I made the clutch linkage to disengage the front wheels..

Pretty darn neat using the holes for the warning lite already in the dash.
I can't tell the picture for sure, does the engaging rod also run inside the
flywheel housing? & to activate the 4wd the level is pulled back I assume,
ahead seems like a far reach unless it's a short travel distance to engage.
Looks very Nice Tim.. You are a Wonder!

Yes, the rod goes down behind the flywheel right beside the starter rod, and forward is engaged, back is off,, I wanted to work in regard to the main clutch/throttle levers..I kinda wanted it to match up with the throttle lever in stance, and yes it is easy to reach,,I had that thought in mind as I was thinking it out...I wonder if the word "Ergonomics" was around in the 50's??

Can you really tell the difference plowing engaged verses not engaged?
You have the same hp as be for what about the traction?

I understand the thinking on direction to match everything else, what is
distance of travel on the 4wd lever/handle?

The travel at the end of the handle is about 6" when the original lever was in place it was about 1",, I changed the geometry of the linkage so it would travel farther,,it feels better this way, a bit more natural to go along with the other levers..but still in easy reach from the seat position.. I have a set of compact utility suit case weights here for it but not going to put them on now...
