I am getting closer on this, and it has been a mind bender...

I'm sure that it has been a "mind bender". It would be a "mind breaker" for anyone else.
Looking forward to seeing it in person next week.

My Grandpa had one just like that !

Very nice Tim but I have to ask what is the shop vac for in one of the pictures?

I use that shop vac for testing for leaks, it puts about 7PSI into a case and then I squirt it down with dish soap/water, it's better than using shop air pressure, and provides a large volume at low pressure, nice for checking fuel tanks, even clutch housing leaks, when I replace a clutch and rear main seal I pressurize the engine crank case and make sure there are no little pesty leaks there while I can still get a good view.. In the picture I was checking my new gear case for leaks..
