smoking 40s and fauling plugs

things just started happing. oil level in engine started getting higher and higher. took this old man a while to think this out, the tractor is not really making oil. really -- seal to keep hyd oil from engine blew, rebuilt unit, then seal around control arm shaft started poring, fixed that . decided to change oil and filter because of hyd oil mix. some water also in oil. removed head, it must have had 1/2lb brass weld on top of head , mag flux show cracks everywhere . 3 heads later got rebuilt head. starts and runs great for 4 or 5 minutes then starts to smokes really bad, blue smoke not black. what know - thoughts please .

How worn are the cylinder bores ? If I'd had the head off I'd of at the very least stuck new rings in. Even in a worn out one it can really make a difference if the rings are worn.

Is the oil bath air cleaner over filled or dirty? Where does the crankcase breather vent on those ? Is the carb freshly overhauled and set as per the operator's manual?
Is it running on both cylinders ?
Autolite 216 or 437 plugs ? Solid core wires ? 6V coil with proper connection polarity?

Sounds like you're either building crankcase pressure fast or it's pulling oil out of the breather. Start by removing the air hose and see if it's the same. That will rule out the breather. Then pull off the oil fill (breather) cap and check again. Then do a compression test and post the results.
