wrist pin bushings and scuff marks

Seven years ago I rebuilt the engine in one of my unstyled
A's . Well the wrist pin bushings went out the ,rods had
been honed to fit the new oversized pins .and the M&W
pistons show scoring on the tops of the pistons . Took
them to are local two cylinder mechanic . He says it looks
like it was from not enough oil pressure . Another guy
said the bore and rods were to tight . I'm leaning towards
the oil pressure . Any ideas ?

Are you talking about the top as in when installed ? which is actually the side of the piston skirt.
I'd start out with getting a measurement of how much piston skirt to cylinder wall clearance there is. Also sounds like these are aluminum pistons and they need more clearance than cast iron pistons.
