JD model D brakes

Has anyone ever seen individual brakes for each rear wheel for a JD D. If so does anyone have pics of how they were set up? Also if there is
such a thing does anyone know where parts to switch one over could be found? thanks, nick

Have seen several with individual brakes. My uncle bought a new D in about 1950 that had them. Never looked to see how they are set up but the parts book should be helpful.

YES...John Deere had individual rear brakes available on both STYLED and NOT STYLED D"s. My PARTS CATALOGUE shows them. I have seen a STYLED "D"in CANADA with individual rear brakes .

I've seen several most are on styled Ds. I have a DI that has individual brakes. The main difference between the unstyled D's and styled D's with brakes was the rear wheel size. It probably would be easier to just find a Styled D with them than to find parts to switch one over.
