This is one of the exhibits at the Goessel, KS Threshing Days this weekend. Looked pretty good
with the 30.5L's.

With the 619 engine, yes they use fuel. But
the amount of work they will do per gal
makes up for it . That's a 175 hp tractor
there , not a piddly 4020.

We had one and it ran about 275 H.P. from the factory. We liked it but we traded it for a 4630 for a much better cab but much tamer.

(quoted from post at 06:26:43 08/02/15) I thought the 6030 used a 531 Turbo charged? Maybe some folks install the 619 as a replacement?

Yes, all 6030s were 531 from the factory (a few were non turbo, the rest were turbo). If the engine ever failed, the owner had the option to replace it with a 619. There may even have been a deere program to do this as they knew the cam driven oil pump was known to cause failures. A deere mechanic told me that there was such a program on 8630 trade-ins to swap motors for 50 series engines. So perhaps something similar also applied to the 531T, which operated much the same way as the early 619s. He said his dealership could purchase a 50 series 619 for 2800 bux. Hard to believe. Sign me up lol. All they had to do is send the old motor back to deere. He said he did quite a few of them.

Looks a bit better than the 6030 sitting in my yard, still in it's work clothes!

They are what you make of them.

And transformed it into this:

newgen- those are beautiful, very nice work. I love the open station look, kinda "pro-field", like pro-street cars. I hope your tire dealer sends you a nice Christmas card!
