So I have seen a lot of stories about transmission oil getting into the PTO of a 630, but mine seems to moving the other way. Whenever i am using the PTO for any significant length of time and then check the PTO oil level, i hear a vacuum release when i open the oil level check bolt. Then I have noticed that the transmission oil level is climbing. This seems very odd. Any thoughts?

thanks,
phil

PTO oil pump housing has two seals back to back where the input shaft goes through it. One seal keeps PTO oil from getting in the rear end and the other keeps rear end oil from getting into the PTO. The factory put in two seals that were fastened to each other back to back. The new seals will be identical separate seals that are installed back to back. The back end of the tractor has to come off so you are looking at the bull gears. While you are there you could spend a few more hours and replace the axle seals. It's intimidating but not THAT hard of a job.
