Comes out of Northland in Waterloo. 7500
gallons of Hy Hard. Do the math! It sure
don't last long around here. The big
tractors hold way over 100 gallons. Don't make fun of the 1975 tanker either lol. It still passes rigorous inspection !

As I understand a hazmat endorsement isn't needed to haul new oil? How much does oil weigh? 7500 gallons seems like a lot for a rig with tandems.

Hyd oil weighs 7 lbs per gallon. You are
correct, no hazmat needed for new oil. But
used oil over 99 gallons , then hazmat is
required.

About 3750 gallons of 32% nitrogen is all a tandem can haul but it weighs 11.4 LB/gallon or thereabouts. That's quite a difference. Son was pulling an aluminum water tanker for the elevator hauling water this spring and it sprang a leak in the bottom of the tank somewhere in the kingpin area. They were going to weld it up. I would think it should have gone to the scrapyard but it's not my trailer. Edit, that should be 4750 gallons!

Talking about tankers here is one that the guy was pumping out of and didn't open a vent,,and yes it was "not" his trailer..and yes there were hard feelings over it,,and no, no one wanted to talk about where the 28 went...
