All Fuel JD A question

Does anybody know when they stopped making A's that were all fuel? Somebody was telling me that in 48 they stopped making them. I was looking at one the other day that was number 659418 making it a mid 1950 to my book. Did they still have all fuel A's in 50 or was this just a special deal? Thank you

Reviewed the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/John-Deere-Tractor-Data-Book/dp/0760302286">JOHN DEERE TRACTOR DATA BOOK</a> on page 49.

[b:654c4848f0]1947-1952 serial numbers 584000-703384 are late styled Models A, AN, AW, and AH with 5.50x6.75-inch gasoline or All-Fuel engines with six-speed transmission[/b:654c4848f0]

Hope this helps.

It should be noted that not all two-tank A's were all fuels. Gas A's were available in I think 1950 with the all fuel tank as a reserve tank. This was a fix to the lack of fuel tank capacity in the late styled As. Later a larger tank was produced, and the choke lever moved to accomodate it. At that point, the second tank option for gas tractors disappeared.
