Model A crankshaft

Is there any difference in the crankshaft for a model A from a all fuel vs a gas tractor? I have a 44 with bad splines on the crank and may have found a replacement.

Does a later model A crankshaft also these years?

Only reason I ask is a prior owner of this tractor installed all gas only parts and may have even went so far as to install a later crank if it fits. Is there a different casting number to look for if so?

A 1944 A uses a A2360R crankshaft, and a late A gas tractor uses a A3322R crankshaft. The flywheel end is what is different between them. You could mess around enough to make the later crank "work" in a 1944 A, but a good 2360 shaft isn't hart to find or that expensive.

Late A that is being referred to is 48 & newer. 40-47
are all the same. Only parts different in the engine
for gas one are manifold, pistons (compression) &
the nozzle in the carburetor
