Exhaust Gaskets

I hope to be bringing home the 1958 620 next week and I know it will be needing exhaust gaskets. Does anyone have any tips on getting the manifold bolts out. I use ALOT of PB Blaster at work and like that unless ya'll know of something better. The carb needs a good cleaning also, are there any secrets to 2 barrel carb?

Soak the bolts with Kroil several times. Be patient. Hit the heads of the bolts with a hammer. Soak the bolts with Kroil again. Go do another job. Hit the heads of the bolts with a hammer again. Soak again. Do the wash and help the misses. Time is on your side. Don't rush it. Far better to get those bolts to release than break them off.

I just replaced a complete Intake/Exhaust manifold, all gaskets and Heat Valve on JD 620 S# 6217952 as well as the Radiator Core, Gaskets and rebuilt the Automatic fuel shut-off. The manifolds were cracked and were garbage.
Do exactly as jd dave suggested. I was unable to free up several of the manifold bolts Items 1 & 14.I cut the head off the bolts, lifted the manifold off the engine, placed a flat washer over the stud tight to the engine block and welded the washer to the stud. Then placed a nut over the stud tight to the washer and welded the nut to the washer. Item 1& 14 backed out of block casting with no problem!
