Anybody know the torque spec for the nuts on the exhaust manifold of a '38 A? I would assume you would just tighten the the studs until tight...

Thanks,
Robert

Don't know the real specks but I got bolts in mine I
just tighten them up tight. I did put some pipe dope
on my threads because they go in the water jacket.
I found that out when I was going to replace the
manifold without draining it first. Water shot out
everywhere. I put pipe dope on the threads and ain't
leaked yet in 5 years.

Ok thanks.

Too late for the pipe dope. It didn't even cross my mind. I did use hi temp copper anti sieze though.

Will it leak out of the 2 outer holes if I don't use pipe sealant?
