I have a 1957 JD620. In the last couple years I am putting up with an excessive amount of water in the fuel tank. Each time the separator bowl is almost all water. I have to empty it several times. I keep the tank nearly full to minimize air in the tank that can condensate. It has been humid with the monsoons, but I believe the problem is still there when it has been dry for a long period. I use 88 midgrade fuel with ethanol which is all I can get. I know ethanol absorbs water, but I don't have this problem with my 1946 JDB. I have never seen water in its separator bowl. I've added "HEET" to the tank, but it doesn't seem to get all of the water.
Any suggestions as to what's happening or how I can minimize the situation?
