If memory serves me correct back in the 60's and 70's we installed 5010 springs on the clutches on the 4020 is that still done or is there a different springs than the standard JD 4020 springs used. My clutch is one of those JD remans with poor quality aftermarket parts used on assembly and my traction disk lost the lining on one side but don't look very old. Just throwing it out there cause I worked the parts counter many years back but been away from it the past almost 20.

The 5010 spring was a fairy tail. All it did was to make the clutch pedal hard . The springs today are stronger than the old ones . Also for you that think you need a jumpy "heavy duty " clutch, it will not hold more than the regular disk. If you have a loader and do a lot of clutch work then the heavy plate stands the slipping .
