Will a 2cyl JD run a 3 pnt snowblower?

Has anyone ever used a 3 pnt snowblower on a old JD with a 3 pnt, and if so, what are the pros and cons? I have an opportunity to buy a 3 pnt snowblower and I was wondering if a 2 cyl JD has sufficient power and pto rpm speed to run one. I have various JDs with live power I could use. I have a 730 gas, 720D, 630, and a 60. Currently I have a front moounted snow blade on my B , but where I live, there is just too much snow for my B to push.

The down side would be a reverse that is too fast, you would be slipping the clutch a lot..in heavy snow..

Have run my 6' blower on the 430 W. The first pass in deep snow tends to make the muffler quite red. When it gets spinning a lot it eases the load on the blower :). On subsequent passes I don't take the whole 6'. Not sure how the reverse speed on the Dubuque compares to the Waterloo reverse speeds
Still will handle snow with a blower over pushing it any day.

Can't say a lot on the snow blowers as they are extinct in Kentucky however if the situation is like that of running a hay baler or bushog, you may have some issues. The power stroke of the old John's causes a lot of torque jump. From my experience you will need to run full throttle to avoid the stroke jumping through the drive train.

I have a 7 foot blower and a late A with powertrol but no 3 point. I have used the blower on a Ford 2000 but it's a little too much for it. My A would be way too fast in reverse. Anything of yours but the B would have enough power but you need independent Pto and working backward with the hand clutch would be rough.

Covering the Waterloo and Dubuques together. If it has live pto and is 20 series or later. It will handle a snowblower well enough.
Pushing snow around here is also a waste of time.

If your body is flexible enough and if your neck can rotate far enough so you can look back while pushing in on the clutch you will be able to blow light snow with it. I have a three point Bush Hog type mower on the 630 and turning my body around to back that thing to mow into corners while slipping the clutch is not easy for a stiff old guy.
