I know this has been discussed here but can't find it. My fuel gauge does not work. Took the hood off and cleaned everything. It is a simple 1 wire to sending unit. Gauge reads empty all the time. If I take the wire off sending unit it swings over to full. I assume it is probably the sending unit in tank. Is this a correct assumption or am I missing something?
