My brother and I have a 1949 John Deere BW located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We acquired the tractor after our father passed away this past winter. We look forward to enjoying the tractor to continue our father's legacy. Unfortunately, what was a perfectly operational tractor when our father was alive is now a machine with an engine that turns over but refuses to fire after a long winter and spring in storage.
My brother and I live in Arizona, so distance from the tractor and a general lack of mechanical knowledge do not allow us to work on the tractor to get it running.
We are looking for a two-cylinder John Deere mechanic to meet us in Minneapolis sometime this summer to do some troubleshooting and bring Dad's beautiful old girl back to life.
Can you help? Please call 6zero2-4two1-82one6
