LA front end question

Hello.
I am currently working on an LA and have hit a bit of a snag. I'm having trouble getting the front axle out from under the tractor. I am not sure how to get the pivot portion separated from the tractor frame. Any hints would be of great help. I don't want to do something stupid and screw it up. Thanks and God bless.

I had this issue with my first LA frame. Someone at one point had welded the bearing races into the front cross members. I had to get a new frame.

Hopefully this isn't your case. Once you remove both caps on the cross members you should be able to start working the front endback and forth. The bearing races are what is holding it into the front cross member. PB Blaster and letting it soak will help as I found on my second LA frame that the front bearing never was greased. Rocking back and forth while holding onto the knees of the front end helped me to get the races moving after a few days of PB Blaster. I didn't have to use any heat but that may help a bit to release those bearing races.

Awesome! I figured it was just a matter of getting the races out and having free space to move it out from under but wanted to make sure there wasn't a hidden trick first. Thanks for the help!
