cyclon a head bolts

What is the best way to remove the head bolts (studs) on a 1952 john deere A. I already have the head off. What if I don't remove the bolts and just run a Die over the treads.

I never remove them unless the deck needs resurfaced. Those studs go into the coolant passage and you can ruin a block trying to get them out. The backsides will goof up the threads as they come thru the holes. Easy enough to run a die on the end sticking out to clean up the threads.
