2510 front mount cultivator

All,

Would there any value to hanging onto a front cultivator that came with our families JD 2510. Didn't know if that was very collectible or not?

Have a slightly newer 3pt cultivator that seems to work well.

Am hanging onto other things like 2510 ROPs and canopy, etc. that seem to be collectible.

Thanks

All frt mounts are worth hanging on to, especialy if it's a rour row In my day A,B,G, that is all we had. After the three point hitch they all went to rear mount because they were easy to hook up

I do not think they will be collectable as they would be very hard to haul to a show due to the width. But I do have one it is an AT40 that we still use every year. There was a nice one on Craigslist for $100 recently but I already have an extra for parts.

Chuck if you decide to sell them front mounts I want them
2-4 or whatever configuration they are , I love tricycle
tractors and front mount implements. 318-542-0896.

Implements are receiving more attention at shows now than they did previously. Most tractors are been there done that for a lot of spectators. I would say unless you are hard up for cash or you are driving into it all the time save it and find a corner or loft in the barn to place it. If you do not do anything with it the time will come that somebody will have a project involving one.

A front rockshaft could be worth more than the cultivator. Check the archives for values. Like planters, a two row unit might be worth more than a four or six row unit because the smaller units are easier to store and transport to shows or to use in a garden/food plot.

Certain items are collectable such as an F-145 original 3 bottom plow but cultivators just don't have much appeal to most. With iron at less than $100 per ton the market is soft.Your canopy and roll-guard would sell but they make nice aftermarket ones for $1200.Used to be there were items such as rock shaft covers and several other items now being reproduced which keeps their value about the same.

It is a 4 row setup. Yes, the 2510 diesel auto transmission has front rockshafts. I didn't realize those rockshafts would add any value to the tractor. Sure like the tractor and plan to keep it.

We just don't use that cultivator anymore and didn't think it was that collectible. If you all think it is worth hanging onto we might consider hanging onto it.

Have a Good Memorial day!
