953 wagon decals

Where is the best place to get a set of decals for a 953 wagon? I am finishing restoration and want to top it off with new decals. Thank you

Don't know the year. Did not find any tag but it has the JD on the hubs. It had the 953 and a leaping deer on the right rear side frame. Does not have a rocking bolster. I will need to look at the PC a little closer.

If it helps, here are my 963 decals. Any way to determine the age of the trailer? Rocking front, solid rear. Plain hub caps

Call Travis Jorde, I got mine from him. I painted a co-workers along with mine. His was like yours with the JD stamped hubs, mine is the 1956 and later design without the JD stamped hubs. Mine had a different style '953' logo so Travis worked with me on it so I was happy. For your style wagon just call him and he will mail them out and they are the right style. I kept measurements of the original decals before I sandblasted my wagon if you need, I will email them to you, my email is open.

Your photo documentation is great... and I would say yours is late 50's. I have not seen one with the wagon model (963) in the script you have.

I have what I believe is a 1956 (short hubs like yours, but John Deere printed in the font used on As, Bs, 50s, etc and not the later block letter like the 20 series (and yours). I also have 2 that have the block lettering like yours, but the numbering is like from a 4010 tractor.

The fact you have it photographed will get you exactly what you need.

So the short hubs came into use around 1955 ?? I still have 2 of my Dad's original 953's and I think he bought them in 1954, they have long hubs,, I was wondering what year the changed..we have 10 953's with hay beds on them, here is a pic of some of them lined up waiting to be unloaded.I can't imagine how many tons of hay and corn they have handled or the miles on them from being tugged around behind the picker and the baler, they are a strong well made wagon.

Coonie, thank you for answering the question I didn't ask... what exactly is sitting on my chassis. I've been trying to find a model number. I haven't decided what to do with it but considering turning it into a hay wagon instead.

Where are you located and are you interested in selling that 110? I have a very nice 110 chuckwagon but yours has the tractor seat controls which I would like to have for mine. Tom

It is a 110. Made in the late 50's. That gear has probably lived it's whole life under that box.

110s are very hard to find. That one has seen better days, though.

I have considered them before as we have a 125,4 122's,112 and a 110. But I am afraid it would get wrecked buy someone backing another wagon into it.With all the equipment we have the sheds are packed to full. The 110 is more or less a toy and only does a few loads a year. Would you sell the controls off your wagon or are you wanting to sell the whole wagon? Wife and son said no more chuckwagons only 714A's or 716A's from now on.LOL Tom

I was hoping to have the whole thing gone from the shed... it's been shedded, but the frame is very rusty. However, there are a lot of good parts. Open to offers, or trade for something????

Tom, I'm in California. Not sure I want to part it out but I would consider selling or trading. My wife seems excited about the wagon for some reason though, which could put an axe in the idea of getting rid of it.
