We have a 777 5 bottom plow and it plows to shallow in the furrow . The hand crank on most plows will adjusts the forrows depth . But on this one it lowers both . It looks to me the rear is to deep the plow sits low .some one has messed with the rear adjuster rod and added some spacers but still not up enough . Any body have one that is right to see what is wrong ? Could use some pictures to help? Thanks

How about an operator manual? I've got a new one for $18 (includes postage). My email is open to contact me if you like.

I've guess the lift rod is out of adjustment, rear spring may be broken/incorrect, or perhaps all of the rear linkages are messed up. I once had a 666 without a rear axle adjusting collar allowing it to go way too deep.

To add to what Tyler mentioned, when the plow is down the rear wheel assembly should be locked in center position with very little to no slack. The lift rod should not have tension on it at that time (but not be floppy, either). The rear landside should be about 1/4-3/8" from the furrow wall and about that high off the bottom of the furrow. The rear wheel should be adjusted to get those measurements. If the rear wheel is not adjusted properly the plow will not carry an even depth and will pull hard as well. Mike

Here is a picture of a 680 plow which would be a similar tail wheel assembly.
